Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers beautifully appointed spacious rooms with the most amazing views of the city and Table Mountain. The service was top-notch with smiling and helpful staff. The location is excellent, close to Company Gardens and other attractions. The dining experience was fantastic with a diverse selection of dishes. However, the safety around the area could be better.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant. The room, though not offering a great view, was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable, making it a good central point for exploring the local area. The service was exceptional, with helpful and friendly staff, though at times not as welcoming as expected. The location, close to various attractions and amenities, was just perfect for my stay, despite being a bit sketchy at night. The dining experience was fantastic, offering a variety of high-quality options, and the facilities were top-notch.
I loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms in the heritage wing offer amazing views of Table Mountain, although I had some trouble getting the mountain-facing room despite my request. Access to the quiet Club Lounge with free drinks and canapés from 6 to 7 pm was a nice touch.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel; the rooms were beautiful and comfortable, but my keys were forgotten in the lobby. The service was superb, with friendly staff but there were a few little things that went wrong. The location was perfect, offering access to museums and gardens, but the dining experience was only fair. Overall, a great value for the money.
The Taj hotel was a wonderful experience with spacious rooms that offer a view of Table Mountain in the distance, making for a nice stay. The service, particularly at the lounge dining area, was top-notch, with fantastic and professional staff. The location was great, offering a sense of security and even complimentary car service within 10 km. The dining experience was superb, featuring an extensive breakfast buffet, although better soundproof windows could enhance the overall experience.
The hotel offers a good size room with pristine mountain views and exceptional customer service. The central location is great for exploring the historic center. The dining experience was amazing for halaal options, but a bit unexpected for a five-star hotel. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvements.
The stay at the hotel was a mix of ups and downs. While the rooms were exceptionally clean and well set, there was a need for maintenance in the evening, which was a bit inconvenient. The access to the executive lounge was a nice bonus, but the service fell short in some aspects.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic, with spacious and beautifully decorated rooms that made me feel like royalty, but there were some issues with torn curtains and non-functioning blinds. The service was exceptional, with friendly and professional staff going out of their way to ensure my comfort. The location was central, making it convenient to access all major areas in Cape Town, but the presence of homeless people around made me feel a bit uneasy. The dining experience was wonderful, especially the personalized touch in catering to my dietary preferences. Overall, a great stay with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel offers very spacious rooms lavishly appointed with bottled water and luxury toiletries, but the rooms are rather old, taking quite some time to be prepared and not properly maintained. The service is exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, close to downtown restaurants and bars, though the hotel is conserving water which is commendable. The dining experience is highlighted by a large buffet spread with a variety of choices, including authentic Indian dishes. Overall, the facilities are well-equipped, making for a convenient stay.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room, though lacking a view from the 4th floor, was still very nice and beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the Club Lounge for breakfast and pre-dinner drinks. The only improvement would be to have more tables for dining.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The rooms overlooked Desmond Tutu's church, offering spectacular views of Table Mountain where we enjoyed stunning sunsets. The modern room setup was perfect for our anniversary, with excellent furniture and appliances. However, space can be a bit limited during peak hours. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who knew all the best restaurants in the area and were always ready to assist. The location was ideal for both business and leisure, close to major attractions like the Tabletop and the Waterfront. While the dining experience was fabulous with a wide variety of breakfast options, the Japanese food was a notable highlight. The hotel facilities were top-notch, catering to all our needs for a convenient and enjoyable stay.
